The wildly popular play-along video game, Guitar Hero, debuted two new ads during the "American Idol" finals. David Cook appeared in one, and he mimics Tom Cruise's dance moves from "Risky Business."

Analog Heart is the debut solo album by singer/guitarist David Cook. Though originally released as an independent record on May 6, 2006, Analog Heart sales jumped during Cook's appearance on the seventh season of American Idol.

Analog Heart won the Urban Tulsa Weekly's "Absolute Best of Tulsa" award for "Best Locally Produced, Independent Album" in 2007.The album was chosen as the fourth-best CD released in 2006 by website Music Equals Life.

On April 18th, 2008, Analog Heart was listed as the number one album for "Today's Top MP3 Albums" on Amazon.com, and David Cook was listed as number one for "Today's Top MP3 Artists". Soon thereafter, the MP3 was removed from Amazon.The album sold 900 copies in its last week before being removed, and 300 the week before that. Prior to those two weeks, according to Nielsen SoundScan data, the album had not sold more than 5 copies in a single week.

this season being the only one that i had really watched was something that i had looked forward to every week during my summer. an assurance that there would be something great for every week. david cook's crooked smile while singing, his whole ruggedly handsome features, his awesome voice... david archie's babyface and balladeer's voice, jason castro's charming eyes and irristable good looks... ok so the boys were the reason that the show always make my week bright and beautiful hahahaha! hey i like syesha and brooke too! :)

hmmm... and now i just wonder what it would be like not to see david cook singin next week, not rushing to get home coz there's no more am idol to catch. huhu.. to compensate, i just have him in my player during bus rides and made him my wallpaper at my pc in the office too! hahahaha.. destresser! haha.

ohhh. david cook. i just love him. maybe this time no matter how he sounded haha. this is just the simplest highlight of my night. he's just so damn fine! he is the music of the night!
